OneSweep is a photo clean-up app developed by LifeLayer Apps, available for iOS and Android. This policy explains what the app stores, where it is stored, which outside services are involved, and how to remove everything. Where the two platforms differ, both are described.

1.Data we collect

OneSweep stores everything it needs locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal information, and there is no account to create.

  • Your decisions. When you keep, trash, favourite or postpone a photo, the app records the identifier your device already uses for that photo, together with the verdict, in a database on your device. That is what keeps photos you have judged out of the queue next time.
  • Swipe counts. The free tier allows a set number of swipes per day, so the app keeps a daily counter in your device’s secure storage — the Keychain on iOS, and Keystore-backed encrypted storage on Android. It is a number, not a history of what you looked at.
  • Photo fingerprints. To group duplicates, the app reduces a thumbnail of each photo to a single 64-bit number describing how its brightness steps from one square to the next, and keeps that number in a second database on your device. It is computed on your phone, it is not a copy or a shrunken version of the photo, and it is never sent anywhere.
  • App settings. Preferences such as sort order, date range and theme are stored locally on your device.
  • Backup. On Android the app excludes itself from Android’s automatic backup and from device-to-device transfer, so none of the above leaves the device by any automatic route. Everything it holds is either rebuilt from your library or tied to keys that never leave the device, so there is nothing worth carrying to a new phone.

2.Your photo library

OneSweep asks for access to your photo library so it can show you your own photos and act on the decisions you make. Access is used entirely on the device:

  • Photos and videos are read from the library and displayed to you. They are never uploaded, copied off the device, or sent to us or anyone else — there is no server to send them to.
  • Marking a favourite writes that favourite to your real photo library. Deleting goes through the system, which asks you to confirm and then keeps the items where your platform keeps deleted photos — Recently Deleted on iOS, the Trash on Android — for around 30 days.
  • Nothing is deleted without you reviewing the trash pile and confirming it. Swiping left only adds a photo to that list.
  • You can grant access to your whole library or to selected photos only. OneSweep works either way, and you can change it at any time: on iOS in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos, and on Android in Settings › Apps › OneSweep › Permissions.

We never see your photos, their contents, their locations, or any other metadata attached to them.

3.Third-party services

The app includes the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob. Serves the rewarded advertisements shown in the free tier. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • RevenueCat. Manages the OneSweep Pro subscription and keeps track of purchase status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier along with purchase and receipt data. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
  • Your app store. The subscription is processed by Apple StoreKit on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android. We never see your payment details.

None of these services receives your photos, your videos, or any of your decisions.

4.Advertising and tracking

The free tier shows a short rewarded ad at a couple of points during the day. Before the first one loads we ask for advertising consent where the law requires it, and that choice governs whether AdMob may personalise what you see.

On iOS, iOS additionally asks whether you allow tracking — Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt — which governs whether AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier. You can change your answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

On Android, ads may use your Advertising ID. You can reset it or delete it altogether in Settings › Google › All services › Ads.

Declining is fine either way: you still get the same app and the same ads, they are simply not personalised. OneSweep Pro subscribers see no ads and are never asked.

5.Data we do not collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address or any account information — there is no account.
  • We do not upload, copy or store your photos or videos.
  • We do not track your location.
  • We do not sell, share or transfer your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs beyond the services listed above.

6.Deleting your data

Resetting your decision history from Settings › Reset decisions inside the app clears every verdict OneSweep has recorded and puts your whole library back in the queue. The fingerprint database is a cache rather than a history, so a reset leaves it in place. Deleting the app removes all of it — the decision database, the fingerprints, the swipe counter and your settings — from your device, on both platforms. Neither affects your photos, which belong to the Photos library rather than to OneSweep.

7.Children’s privacy

OneSweep is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives at this address, with the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
