NeverMiss is a birthday and event reminder app developed by LifeLayer Apps, available for iOS and Android. This policy explains what the app stores, where it is stored, which outside services are involved, and how to remove everything. Where the two platforms differ, both are described.
1.Data we collect
NeverMiss stores your event data locally on your device. We do not operate servers that collect or store your personal information, and there is no account to create.
- Events and reminders. The names, dates, times and notes you enter are stored in a database on your device.
- Contacts (optional). If you choose to import birthdays, the app reads your address book on the device at that moment. Contact data is not uploaded or shared, and the app only asks for access when you start an import.
- Calendar (optional). If you choose to import events, the app reads your device calendar in the same way. Calendar data is not uploaded or shared.
- Backup. This differs by platform.
- On iOS, the optional iCloud backup writes a copy of your event data to your own iCloud Drive storage. We have no access to your iCloud account.
- On Android, there is no cloud backup at all. The app excludes itself from Android’s automatic backup and from device-to-device transfer, so no copy of your events leaves the device by any automatic route. Exporting a calendar file from Settings › Export Events is the only way to keep a copy, and where that file goes is entirely your choice.
- App settings. Preferences such as language, theme and your default reminder time are stored locally on your device.
2.Notifications
Reminders are scheduled entirely on your device — by iOS on Apple devices, and by Android’s own alarm scheduler on Android. No push server is involved, nothing is sent over the network to deliver them, and we never see which reminders you have set or when they fire.
On Android the app uses the exact-alarm capability so reminders arrive at the time you chose rather than whenever the system next wakes. This affects only when a reminder fires; it involves no data leaving the device.
3.Third-party services
The app includes the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob. Serves advertisements in the app on both platforms. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation — on Android this includes the Advertising ID, and on iOS the identifier for advertisers where you have allowed tracking. Before any ad is requested we ask for consent where the law requires it, and you can change that choice later. See Google’s privacy policy. Buying any paid tier removes ads and the SDK stops requesting them.
- RevenueCat. Manages in-app purchases and keeps track of purchase status on both platforms. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier along with purchase and receipt data. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
- Your app store. Purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit on iOS and by Google Play Billing on Android. We never see your payment details.
None of these services receives your events, your notes, or anything read from your address book or calendar.
4.Data we do not collect
- We do not collect your name, email address or any account information — there is no account.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not sell, share or transfer your personal data to third parties.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs beyond the services listed above.
- Your address book and calendar are never copied off your device.
5.Deleting your data
On both platforms you can remove everything at any time from Settings › Clear All Events inside the app, or by deleting the app from your device.
On iOS, if you used iCloud backup, remove the stored copy from your iCloud storage settings: Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
On Android, there is no cloud copy to remove. If you exported a calendar file, it is an ordinary file wherever you saved it and deleting it is up to you.
6.Children’s privacy
NeverMiss is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives at this address, with the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
